Ogni anno la Giornata europea dei Parchi si svolge il
24 maggio e nella settimana intorno a questa data. La festa ha l'obiettivo di
avvicinare le persone alla natura e sensibilizzare l'opinione pubblica
sull'importanza delle bellezze naturali conservate nelle aree protette e
sull'importanza della conservazione e della gestione sostenibile di tali luoghi.
La Giornata europea dei Parchi č un evento commemorativa per le aree protette in
Europa, lanciata nel 1999 da EUROPARC Federation per celebrare le aree
protette in tutta Europa. Si ricorda cosė la creazione dei primi parchi
nazionali in Europa: una serie di nove aree create in Svezia nel 1909.
Anche il Parco Regionale delle Alpi Apuane organizza la sua festa nel corso
della giornata e della settimana europea delle aree protette, insieme alla
Regione Toscana.

Every year European Day of Parks takes place on 24th of May and in
the week around this date. It aims to bring people closer to nature and
raise public awareness on the importance of the natural beauty
preserved in protected areas and the importance of conservation and
sustainable management of those places.
The European Day of Parks is a commemorative event for Protected Areas
across Europe that was launched in 1999 by the EUROPARC Federation
to celebrate protected areas throughout Europe. It remembers the
creation of the first national parks in Europe: a set of nine areas
created in Sweden in 1909.
Also the Apuan Alps Regional Park organizes its festival during the
European day and week of protected areas, together with the Tuscany
Region.
